Events in Qatar: January – March 2025

Following a record-breaking year for Qatar’s tourism sector, which saw more than five million visitors arriving over the course of 2024, the country is set to continue its momentum into the new year, hosting several high-profile events at the start of 2025. 


Tourism is one of Qatar’s key policy pillars, with the country continuing to work towards the goal of attracting six million tourists per year by 2030. From world-class sporting events to international conferences, Qatar’s diverse calendar will bring people together from around the world for entertainment, dialogue, and cultural exchange.

Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (30 January – 5 February)

With an average attendance of 30,000 visitors from over 175 countries, the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition brings together local, regional, and international brands in a stunning show of artistry and design. Attendees can meet top jewellery designers, see the latest collections and learn more about Qatar’s traditional methods of crafting pearl jewellery.

Global Champions Arabians Tour 2025 (5 – 8 February)

Stemming from the Global Champions Tour, the Global Champions Arabian Tour 2025 aims to build awareness of the Arabian Horse breed and promote cultural exchange. With an expansive itinerary spanning from Brazil to Oman, GCAT will see its second event take place in Doha, home to a longstanding tradition of exceptional horsemanship.

Qatar TotalEnergies Open (9 – 15 February) & Qatar ExxonMobil Open (17 – 22 February) 

The biggest names in tennis will make their way to Qatar for the annual Qatar TotalEnergies Open and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open. Hosted at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, also home of the 2006 Asian Games and the 2021 Padel World Championship, attendees will watch some of the world’s top tennis athletes compete - with champions such as Carlos Alcaraz, current World No. 3, set to take part.

Qatar International Food Festival (12 – 22 February)

The Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) is the country’s largest culinary celebration, showcasing its diverse food, beverage, and hospitality landscape with over 100 different stalls on offer. The festival will include workshops, live cooking classes by award-winning chefs, and nightly fireworks to round off this impressive gastronomic display.

Match For Hope (14 February)

Following the success of last year’s charity match, which raised more than $8.8 million for Education Above All (EAA), Match for Hope returns to Doha for a second time at Stadium 974. With the previous edition boasting World Cup legends, such as Kaka and Eden Hazard, and some of the internet’s biggest names, including IShowSpeed, Chunkz and AboFlah, this year’s match promises to be even bigger, with a half-time performance and a week of fan events. 

Match 4 Hope

Visit Qatar E1 Doha GP (21 – 22 February)

This February, Doha will host the first event in the second season of the UIM E1 World Championship, the world’s first all-electric race boat series. Spectators will flock to the Pearl for a thrilling race as the Championship’s pioneering electric race boat, the RaceBird, puts speed on display in Qatar. 

Web Summit Qatar (23 – 26 February)

Web Summit Qatar will convene more than 15,000 individuals in the field of technology at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) for the second time. As part of a series of international events organised by Web Summit, the Doha edition is the first in the Middle East and connects attendees with over 400 investors and 1,000 startups. 


Featuring speakers from companies including Reddit, Paramount Pictures and Mozilla, the event gathers industry innovators and thought leaders with international journalists and investors in one of the most exciting tech gatherings in the Middle East.
